Pamela Anderson isn’t going anywhere. The actress, 58, is back on the big screen recently in movies like The Last Showgirl and The Naked Gun. While doing press for the latter (with rumored beau and co-star, Liam Neeson), the former Baywatch star has opted for timeless, classic fashion in the form of satin gowns, wide leg trousers, shirt dresses and one wardrobe staple you might have in your own closet: a white button-down shirt.
In fact, Anderson has been spotted wearing several white button-down shirts over the last year on her Instagram, like on a trip to Paris, another to Zurich, in her garden, even layered under a sweater in a post about her skin care line. She’s worn cotton, linen and silk versions of the top, proving that the style is versatile and can be worn any time of year.
With such a knack for classics, I was surprised to learn that Anderson doesn’t always depend on a stylist, often putting together her own outfits while on the road. “I’m just at my happiest when I’m self-styled,” Anderson told Instyle. It’s also no surprise that her favorite designer is the all-American basics powerhouse, Ralph Lauren (who also knows a thing or two about white button-downs). “If I could do any campaign in the world, I’d want to do a Ralph Lauren campaign. The tied-back hair, freckles on the nose, horses and blankets… I just love everything about their line,” she added. Makes sense!
