Husband-and-wife duo with a combined 35kg weight loss launch personalised nutrition app

They say summer bodies are made in winter, but finding the motivation to ace your fitness goals with dark mornings and cold temperatures is no easy feat.

Yet a husband-and-wife duo has just launched a personalised nutrition app, promising “real results” without the struggle.

Leah and Mitch Itsines have removed the guesswork around achieving fitness goals with their newly launched app, BARE.

With more than 20,000 people on the waitlist, it’s set to help thousands across the country find motivation this winter.

Rather than relying on strict diets and generic calorie targets, the app is home to personalised, dietitian-approved meal plans based on a user’s body, goals and lifestyle.

Forget bland recipes and boring diets — it’s proof that you can eat what you want without forgoing your favourite foods.

Built after their impressive combined weight loss of 35kg, the pair decided to share the same principles with everyday Aussies.

“We built BARE because we were tired of seeing people white-knuckle their way through diets that were never going to last,” co-founder of BARE Leah Itsines tells 7You.

“You shouldn’t have to choose between getting results and actually enjoying your food, or between reaching your goals and sitting down for dinner with your family. That’s what BARE solves.”

“This isn’t theory for us — it’s exactly how we changed our own bodies and our own relationship with food,” co-founder Mitch Itsines adds.

“We wanted to build something that takes the thinking out of it completely, so people can just follow the plan and get on with their lives.”

The nutrition app works by calculating intake targets based on each user’s body and goals before creating a brand-new meal plan every week.

Even busy families and households can eat together — it’s fuss-free and easy for everyone.

Here’s exactly what you can expect:

  • Personalised meal plans tailored to individual goals
  • Individually calculated intake targets
  • A new meal plan generated weekly
  • Dietitian-approved recipes and meal plans
  • Unlimited meal swaps for flexibility
  • Weekly check-ins with plan adjustments
  • Access to a supportive BARE community
