For decades, heat styling has come with a compromise. You could have sleek strands, polished waves or defined curls, but often at the expense of your hair’s health.
Now, one of the world’s biggest names in styling says that trade off could be a thing of the past.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, ghd has unveiled the new ghd sculpt, an interactive styler that aims to redefine what consumers can expect from heated styling tools.

The launch marks one of the biggest innovations in the brand’s history, with ghd introducing its new Heat Adapt Technology, an intelligent system that measures the temperature of the hair itself rather than simply monitoring the styling plates.
Using AI driven sensing, the tool adapts in real time, delivering personalised heat control throughout every pass.

The result is styling that the brand says delivers salon-quality results while causing zero damage to the hair’s natural structure.
The launch also tackles one of the biggest misconceptions in the beauty industry. According to ghd, 98 per cent of consumers believe heat styling inevitably damages hair.
With sculpt, the company hopes to prove that healthy-looking hair and high-performance styling no longer have to be mutually exclusive.
Built on 25 years of research into heat science, the ghd sculpt promises an impressive list of performance benefits.
Users can expect up to 90 per cent more shine, 2.5 times less frizz, superior curl definition, colour protection and styling that is up to five times faster compared to traditional techniques.
Beyond the technology, the new tool has also been designed with everyday styling in mind. It features an ultra-slim ergonomic body that is lighter than previous models, making it easier to manoeuvre from root to tip, whether creating smooth, straight styles, soft waves or defined curls.

The Infinity plates have also been engineered for a smoother glide through the hair, helping minimise snagging while delivering consistent styling results.
One of the standout features is the styler’s ability to respond differently depending on your hair.
Rather than applying a fixed temperature across every section, the Heat Adapt Technology continuously adjusts during use, helping maintain optimal heat for each pass.
For anyone who regularly styles their hair, particularly those with coloured or chemically treated strands, that added layer of precision could make a noticeable difference over time.
The launch reflects the growing demand for beauty technology that focuses as much on hair health as on styling performance.

Shoppers looking for tools that simplify their routine while helping protect the condition of their hair, rather than sacrificing one for the other.
Scientific testing conducted by the brand also found that hair returned to its natural state after washing, reinforcing ghd’s focus on preserving the hair’s internal structure while still achieving polished results.
Available in both classic Black and White, the new ghd sculpt is priced at $599 and goes on sale from 6 pm on 9 July through the ghd website, premium salons and selected retailers.
For beauty lovers looking to upgrade their styling routine, this could be one of the year’s biggest hair launches, combining intelligent technology with the glossy, frizz free finish that has made ghd a household name.
