England veteran Jordan Henderson has been taken to hospital after suffering a serious arm injury during celebrations after the epic 3-2 victory over Mexico at the World Cup.
The incident happened shortly after Hendson and the England team sung Oasis’ iconic anthem ‘Wonderwall’ with delirious fans at the Estadio Azteca.
But as the 36-year-old jumped back over the advertising board onto the field, he tripped and landed on his arm.

Concerned teammates immediately noticed something was wrong with defender Dan Burn alerting medical staff to the situation.
Henderson was eventually stretchered off and later taken to hospital.
Speaking immediately after the final whistle, manager Thomas Tuchel said it looked bad.
“Not good. Jordan just fell over and injured his wrist. It looks really bad,” he told the BBC.
He shed more light on the “serious” injury in his press conference.
“I’m sad because Jordan injured his wrist. It’s quite serious,” he said.
“He’s in hospital. It doesn’t fit with the rest of the evening. I don’t know the procedure.”
The injury capped a bizarre game for Henderson after he managed to get booked on the sidelines while warming up as a substitute.
Henderson has only featured once in the tournament, coming off the bench to play the final 10 minutes in the 2-0 win over Panama in the group stage.
Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane carried England to the World Cup last eight, overcoming a raucous crowd, the elevation of Estadio Azteca and a man disadvantage in the second half to beat Mexico 3-2 in the game of the tournament.
In the same stadium where England fell victim to Diego Maradona’s Hand of God goal in the 1986 World Cup against Argentina, it was the foot of Kane that gave the nation redemption 40 years later.
Bellingham scored two goals 98 seconds apart in the first half, and six minutes after Jarell Quansah was sent off, Kane converted a penalty to restore England’s two-goal lead.
“It was a crazy game. We had to fight,” Kane said with a hoarse voice.
“I can’t really talk, but the occasion, the team, everything against us, we found a way.”
